This DVD is a OVA (original video) collection and comes on three DVDs . Episodes 1 -7 on the first disk and 8-12 on the second.

The third disk contains the TENCHI ENCYCLOPEDIA ver. 3.0, this disk contains images, video clips and data on everything Tenchi including all the Tenchi Movies.

The quality of the audio cannot be faulted, although the intro music on the first 7 episodes does seem different from the series I remember on television. But this is no problem as it sounds superb. The only niggle I have is that there is no english voiceover on the "Next Episode" previews.

The english subtitles come in normal and captioned (hard of hearing on DVD options). The 2nd caption option places the captions over the person talking with any sound effects appearing in brackets with description.
